Other common names: PTFE tape, thread tape, plumbers tape, sealing tape Product applications: The tape is wound of the threads of water pipes before they are screwed together. The soft PTFE plastic conforms and moulds itself into any available space as the pipes are turned. This prevents any water from being able to leak out through the joins.
